On 4.-5. May 2015, a two-day session of the European Congress of Local Governments 2015 took place at the ICE Krakow Congress Center. The Congress is the most important meeting of representatives of regional authorities from European countries with representatives of public administration public administration and the European Union.
Along with the Economic Forum in Krynica and the Forum of Regions, the Congress is one of the three most important events organized annually by the Foundation Institute for Eastern Studies. This year the European Congress of Local Governments brought together more than 800 guests from all over Europe.
The proceedings of the congress were spread over nearly 60 events – discussion panels, program blocks, lectures, presentations, workshops under 5 main thematic tracks: finance, economy, innovation, society and environment.
Horizone Studio was invited as an expert to the panel discussion called: “Green building as the future of public investment – challenges, experiences, examples” co-organized by PLGBC. As part of the panel, the project of the new Marshal’s City Hall in Krakow was presented as a case study introducing the discussion. The presentation was led by Agnieszka Jasiówka of MARR, Bartłomiej Kisielewski of Horizone Studio and Rafał Schurma of Visio Architects&Consultants.
