Krakow, 21.11.2018
For the first time in Krakow, on the initiative of the editors of the monthly magazine “Architecture and Business” the first edition of FOPA – Festival of Open Architectural Studios took place. As Horizone Studio, we not only took part in this event, but also added our pebble to its initiation.
The Festival of Open Architectural Studios (FOPA) took place on November 21-22, 2018. It was a unique event accompanying the Open Eyes Economy Summit congress in Krakow, which annually attracts more than 2,000 people.
According to the festival’s organizers, FOPA is two days of meetings, during which participants have the opportunity to meet the most interesting architects from the best Krakow offices in their daily work environment, look at their design and research method, learn about the outlook on the city or the aesthetics of urban space, see models, projects, photos, and finally sit at a big table and talk.
This year, three architectural firms participated in FOPA: Horizone Studio, BP Lewicki & Łatak and Wizja Stanislaw Deńko.
We would like to thank all the guests who visited our office for their time, interesting discussions and inspiration. Next year we plan to open our doors to you again.
The Open Architecture Studio Festival complemented the OEES main program and was one of the offerings for experts and listeners of the session on the city. Creating openness, building dialogue and public trust, creating a platform for meetings are very important elements of FOPA, the organizers encourage.
– We want city residents, students, as well as congress guests to have the opportunity to learn about the process of architecture, and thus learn to actively participate in the architectural debate.
