The March issue of “Architecture & Business” features an article devoted to the activities of the SARP Kraków Branch and how the architectural community can truly influence the quality of space and the protection of cultural heritage. The article features members of the SARP Kraków Branch Board, including Dominik Darasz, partner at Horizone Studio, pointing out how the image of the architect has diminished in recent years and how the pressure of deadlines, budgets, and marketing trends is driving out quality, ethics, and genuine concern for space. In his statement, he emphasizes the need to regain the position of a partner in discussions with the city and investors, as well as the need to simplify procedures, introduce clear standards, and strengthen architectural education. This is an important and powerful commentary on why architecture should return to its core mission: responsibly shaping the human environment.
