A joint lecture by Ericpol and Horizone Studio entitled “Architecture, environment and teamwork: a challenge for the ambitious” took place at this year’s Łódź Design Festival, on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 11:00 am.
The lecture was held as part of the accompanying lecture series at the LDF (Festival Center 1 at Tymienieckiego 3 Street).
Thesis of the lecture:
“The challenges posed by the labor market, especially in a competitive and expansive environment, require companies to increasingly commit resources and ideas. Light, color, materials that define interior spaces, and attractive architecture can increase the productivity of employees, as well as inspire those in them. The ideal architecture is tailored to the organization: its profile, values, methods of cooperation with the client. A different design is required for a model based on individual specialists working in the so-called cascade model and another
for an organization based on interactivity and cooperation of interdisciplinary teams. Therefore, where groups, relationships and communication channels change dynamically, spaces must not focus only on the individual and his place in the hierarchy, but must support potential changes, exchange of information, knowledge, transparency, creativity, innovation – i.e. values necessary for agile (Agile) methods of product development and delivery. This way of thinking about the work environment brings tangible benefits to the company and is the same investment as software or modern machinery.”
