“Aces of Polish Architecture” are two architectural exhibitions, shown together in Krakow: “Polska.Architecture” prepared by Architektura-Murator together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the exhibition of architectural models “Spaces of Ideas. Buildings Changing Social Reality” gathered as part of the Open Eyes Economy Summit Congress.
The main idea of the exhibition “Aces of Polish Architecture” (prepared by the curatorial team: Ewa P. Porębska, Krzysztof Ingarden, Dawid Hajok) at the GAGA Architecture Gallery is to present to a wide audience the greatest domestic achievements in this field.
The exhibition presents 24 unique, newly created or modernized buildings, portrayed by the best Polish architecture photographers. It is accompanied by reportage photos, sketches, drawings and quotations, showing selected buildings in a broad socio-cultural context. The exhibition is accompanied – written especially for the exhibition – by a short story by Sylwia Chutnik. The graphic design of the exhibition was developed by Edgar Bąk and his team. The Krakow exhibition will be enriched with 10 architectural mock-ups, presenting exceptional buildings of the last 25 years.
The exhibition will be on view at the Malopolska Garden of Art in Krakow from 05.11.-06.12.2016. GAGA Gallery is open from Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You are cordially invited – admission is free.
The exhibition “Poland. Architecture” presents 24 unique, newly built or revitalized architectural structures completed in Poland in recent years. The exhibition was prepared by the monthly magazine “Architektura-murator” on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its purpose is to promote Poland in the world through contemporary architecture.
On June 13, 2015, the first presentation of the exhibition “Polska.Architecture” took place at the State Philharmonic Hall in Baku during the Polish Day at the European Games 2015. Subsequently, the exhibition was presented in Bulgaria (Sofia), Macedonia (Skopje), China (Guangzhou) and Ireland (Dublin), among others. The next editions are ahead.
On the 12th of May 2016, the Polish premiere of the exhibition took place at the Museum of Architecture in Wroclaw. Krakow is the second Polish city hosting this exhibition.
On the occasion of the Krakow presentation, we would like to point out that of the 24 most interesting Polish projects, 4 were created on the boards of Krakow architectural offices (in alphabetical order):

Below are photos from the vernissage, which took place in the Malopolska Garden of Art on November 4, 2016.
The vernissage brought together many guests and provided an opportunity for numerous discussions about architecture. One of the projects presented at the exhibition is a Lodz-based realization of Horizone Studio.
